SINTEC Project is about to join a new cluster of European Projects focusing on Medical Wearable Devices.

The Medical Wearables Cluster, coordinated by WELMO Project, is a set of independent research initiatives that have banded together to promote project synergies and maximize the importance of their findings. Joint studies, policy-making exercises, information sharing through working groups, standard implementation, and joint contact activities will all support clustered programs. Microelectronics, smart textiles, patient monitoring, intelligent analytics, AI, medical device requirements, and bioethics are among the cluster’s main concerns.

The cluster encourages information sharing, including methodologies, methods, tools, databases, case study connections, and outcomes and supports the development of collective publications. It also aspires to align as many coordination practices as possible through various programs, organizing larger-scale, higher-visibility actions with greater effect.

Virtual meetings should be held on a regular basis (every 3-5 months) so that coordinators can pitch project progress and goals to other cluster consortia and plan different working group activities.

About CEN (European Committee for Standardization)

The Standards Working Group can communicate with CEN-CENELEC Focus groups, collaboration groups, sector fora, and other groups affecting standards on the cluster’s topics, or by forming new CEN coordination groups.
