On the 22nd and 23rd of October 2019, SINTEC project partecipated at the European Commission workshop on “Smart Bioelectronic and Wearable Systems” at the DG Connect in Brussels (Belgium).

The workshop presented breakthroughs and innovations in smart bioelectronics and flexible & wearable systems – two important areas of the Key Digital Technologies. Market leaders, innovators, researchers, professional and user organisations discussed how Europe can keep its global leadership in these areas. The high level participants discussed and provided recommendations on the technology and market challenges and opportunities, and, how to maximise the societal and economic benefits of these technologies in addressing health, ageing, agri-food, security, environment & climate change.

Robin Augustin from Uppsala University and Isella Vicini by Warrant Hub participed at the conference representing SINTEC project; in particular, Robin Augustin had a speech about the project inside the session called ” Wearable systems in H2020: Technology Readiness and Innovation potential”. This session included project pitches with a focus on technology readiness and innovation potential. The format was a 1-2 minutes pitch by each project, as introduced by EC and with a single slide on screen.
